Supporting each other - Short survey to complete please

Hello,

I hope that you are well?

As part of my Uni dissertation I am researching how Media and Technology can support dance teaching. I have created a short survey for people in a related profession. I am hoping that you may be able to find ten minutes to complete this. It will be greatly appreciated.

Please copy and paste the link below to complete the 8 questions anonymously, then click SEND SURVEY.

Campus session 1

Prior to attending the campus session on Friday 22nd February I had an idea of what I needed to do but no real action plan to implement these ideas. The campus session helped me to focus and to prioritise the tasks that lye ahead.

Step 1: Review feedback from plan etc - Action: I have sent my changes to my tutor.
Step 2: Literature review / gaining permission etc - Action: I am reading and carrying out further research. I am preparing my disclaimer forms to gain student/teacher consent.
Step 3: Carry out inquiry and activities - Action: I am starting to prepare / make arrangements to gather date (lesson observations / workshop / survey / interviews etc).

We each created a diagram to represent our opinion of a professional inquiry. Some of the key words were;

*Thinking forward (making changes for the fututre)
*Reflecting

*Reading
*Research
*Experimenting

*Collecting data
*Analysing data
*Gaining knowledge
*Observing others
*Beneficial (to ourselves and others)

These diagrams looked similar to the Kolb Cycle mode. Relating to his module for question and answer, reading, looking, analysing and sharing (see link).

Getting started!

So I have made a list of things to do for my inquiry, without really knowing where to start or what to prioritise. I have sent changes to for my plan to Paula, although I am still struggling with the concept of actually applying my ideas for my inquiry while on maternity leave. I wonder if my workplace will allow me to deliver some workshops as an intervention. It would perhaps be suitable to use the internet to email my surveys to teachers/students and to create focus groups for discussions on-line (as part of using ICT).  I also need to arrange observations and interviews.

I have to admit I am more in need of support this term, with limited time to work at home with the two young children. Looking for inspiration / a direction / starting point at next weeks campus session. Hope to see some of you there. Good luck with your inquiries. Until then I will endeavour to deepen my knowledge through further reading and research.
